Bow Ty was born on June 9, 1989. In 1991 Bow Ty was caught on home video dancing in the middle of the street clothed in only a diaper. That same year Bow Ty presented one of Bow Ty's poops triumphantly to Bow Ty's father. In 1993, Bow Ty wrote Bow Ty's first hit song entitled "Formaldehyde in an Egg", and in 1994 Bow Ty made Bow Ty's first, albeit somewhat naive, philosophical statement, positing that "the [bathroom] floor is a bendable woman". In 2003, Bow Ty may or may not have worn a bright yellow golf hat to Bow Ty's grandpa's funeral. Later, in 2007, Bow Ty started exploring un-normative wardrobe presentation on a daily basis. In 2011 Bow Ty wrote, recorded and published 365 songs to YouTube, and peed Bow Ty's pants in front of a group of Bow Ty's peers. Bow Ty followed a self-help book religiously in the spring of 2012, leading Bow Ty to lose Bow Ty's virginity, become a door-to-door salesman for Comcast, and get legally married to Bow Ty's significant other. In 2013, Bow Ty changed Bow Ty's dietary intake each month, and in the fall of 2013 Bow Ty started introducing Bow Ty as Bow Ty. In the Spring of 2014 Bow Ty began investigating the implications of changing the site of performance to Bow Ty's subconscious by attempting to create performance work in Bow Ty's sleep, and that same fall Bow Ty attempted to meet and memorize the names of all 4171 students, faculty, and staff currently enrolled and working at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. At the end of that year, Bow Ty founded the Art Institute of Social Destabilisation and Transformation, a higher education institution designed to foster and incubate new societal forms. Bow Ty is now engaging in unpaid physical, creative, and emotional labor for Bow Ty's friends, family, and acquaintances in exchange for their presence at Bow Ty's performance in the 2015 Impact Festival.
