My BFA class at the University of Oregon was asked to create an exhibition of visual art for the lobby of our school's Portland branch. The conditions: no nudity, violence, or objectionable material, and no damage to the walls. I decided to take on the assigment directly, proposing that I decorate the space with party supplies so as to create a more welcome environment for lobby-goers:

1. Holiday Lighting
2. Balloons

3. Army Gift Bags (to hand out at opening)

4. Army Giftbag Contents a) Stickers

5. Army Giftbag Contents b) Finger Jewelry

6. Army Giftbag Contents c) Sheep and Chickens

7. Army Giftbag Contents d) Assorted Whistles

8. Army Giftbag Contents e) Disc Shooters and Mice

9. Streamers

10. Reject Decorative Idea a) Playful Pigs Calendar (thrown out due to space restrictions)

11. Reject Decorative Idea b) Shiny Stuff (thrown out due to obnoxious appearance)
My proposal was denied for mysterious reasons, but they allowed me to hang the proposal itself in the show:
